after 2 or 3 days in saigon it was time to move on. bought a ticket to phnom penh - took the 1st flight out. how could it be different? the cab driver was one of these fuckers that try to rip U off at the very 1st moment. like a welcome to cambodia - in the end it is not so much the money - but it is really not cool. found a british couple to share the ride.
we ended up at guesthouse no. 9. a really nice place at a big lake right in the center of the city. one really feels like being somewhere in the countryside and not in the capital.

the guesthouse is more or less on poles on the water. the deck is the place to be at sunset. they also provide hammock's and music. (better next door) so swing to the sound of air (moon safari) cold beer in the hand and watch the stars go down while clouds of fine cambodian go up from the other hammock's.

next morning it was phnom penh in a day: get up early and on the back of a little motorcycle from one place of (more or less) intrest to the other. depends on your driver what u gonna see and do.

first stop was the market in the city for breakfast. after that out to the killing fields. the only thing to see there is that temple full of skulls. all the rest is gone. still somehow depressing. somehow like dachau but different.

not a lot of machines to work with.
