Winter 2004/05 - Myanmar
the next day the princess bought a ticket down to yangon. archie and i tried to hitch. it took us more than 30 minutes to explain to our guest house guy to write "yangon" and "down south" in burmese - his idea was that he should write it in english - hmm well - i can do that myself you know - ah yes ok - finally we went with our baggage to the road that leads down south and tried. 60% of the cars that stopped told us about the bus station and the afternoon and night busses. the rest where private cars and taxis that wanted money. well we gave up after more than 2 hours... and went for the busstation.
flying dogs - a lot of them and they moved to another tree
